There is a lot of pressure on us to do everything RIGHT in every position we hold: as moms, as partners in our law firms, as partners in our marriages or relationships, as PTA members, as head chair in trial, as Room Parent, as associates, as breastmilk suppliers, as chefs, bakers, unofficial therapists, tutors, bubble bath makers, bedtime story readers, & Lord-knows-how-many-other-titles we hold in and out of our offices.
Can we admit that we don't have to do all of these things, let alone do them all perfectly? Happiness does not mean perfection, and gratitude is always stronger than anxiety. Through these stories, I hope you can discover the importance of taking care of yourself so that you can be a better mom for your family, and a better lawyer for our profession. |
